About The Author

Julie Fragoules is an experienced professional in the field of disaster management and mitigation. She spent over two decades working for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, rising to the position of Community Education and Outreach Task Force Leader in the Hazard Mitigation branch.

Prior to this, she was an Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalism award-winning radio news reporter covering North Central Arkansas and South Central Missouri. Julie holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Arkansas.

Beyond her professional life, Julie enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and sailing. She also enjoys wood working and building log homes with her family in the Ozark Mountains of North Central Arkansas.
